Remington Model 81 semi-automatic – 35 Remington – Listing ID: 3127289

A very nice, all original Remington Model 81 “Woodmaster” semi-automatic rifle chambered in 35 Remington caliber. It has a 22" barrel with a clean bore. Serial number is 15545, produced in June 19410 according to the barrel code. This is a fine old vintage rifle with no issues. It is in very good used condition and shows the normal signs of hunting use over the last 80 years. It is in its original factory configuration with no alterations or additions. Receiver and barrel have about 85% of the original blue with wear showing along the edges, top, underside and the carry points of the receiver. The rifle has no rust freckling but there are some small spots of discoloration, and the bluing has dulled on the receiver. The walnut stocks are in nice condition with the original factory finish showing wear through in places, retaining about 60% coverage. The wood has not been sanded; all wood is proud to the adjoining metal. There are a few shallow scratches and minor marks on the butt, but no deep gouges, cracks, or splits. It has the original factory front bead sight and adjustable rear sights. The butt stock has the Remington checkered steel butt plate it would have left the factory with. Bore is very nice; it should be a fine shooter. This is a real nice old, honest Remington rifle in solid, original condition in a classic deer caliber.
